ROCKING N REELING: Confluence’ 09 is what Hansraj College calls its fest. Like every year, Hansraj had many activities lined up for the day. Western dance competition, Rock band music competition, and many more. Performances by singer Gurdip Mehndi and Aryans were the highlight of this year’s fest.
WHAT A RUSH: When the gates of the college opened in the morning, no one could have imagined that so many students from different colleges will turn up for the fest.

By noon the gates of the college had to be shut to stop any more entry. When the main gate opened later in the evening, the crowd rushed in with full force. This made a lot of them fall down. But it was all taken care of very quickly. Students of Dyal Singh college entered Hansraj chanting their college’s name.
DANCE PE CHANCE: Even the hall where the western dance competition took place in, there was no place to stand. Hansraj College came first in the western dance round, Gargi College was second and Sri Venkateswara College came third.
LIGHTING EFFECT: After the western dance around, rock bands from different colleges like DNQ Corporation and Void Star performed in the ground. This was followed by the performance of Daler Mehndi’s son Gurdip. “This was such a fun experience!” he said later. After Gurdip, the band Aryans performed and the crowd came alive. All the students had their mobile phone lights on, while they swayed to the music.
